Probably the most confusing aspect of the moving industry is pricing. Most people are not aware how the final price is calculated and most movers are hesitant to disclose the pricing mechanism. The reason for the lack of clarity in pricing is because most movers use a very complex pricing system. Their systems are based on a combination of estimated weight, density factor adjustments, origination/destination market adjustments, and a dizzying array of handling charges and access charges. The quality and reliability of services should be your primary motivator in deciding a mover not necessarily price only. (Where could this fit)

At USA Express Moving, we believe the customer should understand exactly what the price of their move is and how it is calculated. Our pricing system is specifically designed to ensure the pricing mechanism is easy to use and easy to explain.

The price of your move is based on three basic items:

  • The inventory of household Goods to be moved - measured by volume in cubic feet
  • The distance you are moving - measured in miles
  • The services you request - basic move plus optional services (e.g. packing, unpacking, auto transport, storage, etc.)

The first step in calculating the cost of your move is to determine the load size. We determine load size by the calculated truck space your items consume, measured in cubic feet. To calculate the size of your shipment and determine the cost of your move, simply complete the inventory form and submit. It is important to be as complete and accurate as possible when listing the items you are moving. The quote you receive is based on the information you submit. Changes to the size of your shipment could result in changes to the price quoted. Click to view Quote Estimate Form.

When identifying services necessary to complete your move, it is easy to overlook certain factors which could affect the overall cost. Don't forget that a large moving van will be used to ship your furniture. In some instances, it is physically impossible or unsafe to park the van close to the entry of your house or building. In these cases you may incur a long carry or shuttle charge if required to safely or efficiently load or unload your belongings. Also, be sure to identify any stair carries at loading or unloading. Remember, the accuracy of your quoted is directly dependant on the accuracy of the information upon which it is based.

We understand that as you plan your move, things can and often do change. You may decide to add or remove items from your move, include or delete optional services, or even change your destination. With our state of the art automated pricing technology, these changes are managed with ease. Contact us today for hassle-free, flexible pricing.
